It’s official: world leader Del Monte and the Rahals group have entered into a strategic partnership. To begin, three joint companies are created, each in a particular area of ​​expertise. From Casablanca, the first company will be active in trading in agri-food products, on a regional scale. It will make its strong entry into the fruit and vegetable market, with volumes worthy of a large purchasing center. The second company will have the mission of managing the processing activity, for standardized marketing circuits and in compliance with strict food safety measures. These are products falling into the so-called “fourth range” category: agricultural products and raw preparations, ready to use. This could be, for example, salads, raw vegetables (grated carrots, etc.), or peeled vegetables, ready to cook, packaged in plastic bags, sometimes in a modified atmosphere, and preserved by refrigeration. The third structure will have the mission of guaranteeing vertical integration, to act end-to-end on the value chain, from supply to after-sales service.

This partnership consolidates the positioning of the Rahal Group as a national leader in the agri-food sector. The agreements signed with Del Monte also aim to develop business opportunities around Moroccan specialties. The Rahal group envisages growth driven by proven expertise in both directions.
